| SWAAPP - Sale, Service and Parts Management software, is the Software Package to Manage the activities of Workshop & its’ Store. SWAAPP is a web based developed under Microsoft .Net as front user and back end can be oracle / SQL Environment. The software shall cater to the activities of all the sections in workshop. The functions of the SWAAPP are quite exhaustive. Vehicle will be monitored, right from the time the vehicle enters in the workshop till it is delivered back to the customer. All the activities performed with the vehicle in the workshop are computerized through SWAAPP.
The Major objectives that can be expressed at this stage for our SWAAPP, which we will like to achieve, are listed as under -

- Minimizing the amount of data to be entered - details are input just once and are then available immediately and consistently to every part of the system.
- To provide timely and up-to-date access to data or information whenever desired.
- To design and implement a relational data base Management system which will help in scheduling the staff in an efficient manner.
- Give full customer satisfaction.
- Less maintenance and high product life cycle.
SWAAPP, also cater to the customer by booking the time slot for the vehicle service. The Customer will have not to wait for the servicing of his vehicle. Thus SWAAPP add the feather to customer delight.
On the arrival of the vehicle to the workshop, Job Card can be opened through SWAAPP. The Job Card is further debited with the parts & labour incurred on the vehicle. System will spot the Vehicle time for its’ status in the workshop. Since SWAAPP manages dynamic history of the vehicle, the job card also contains the previous history of the vehicle. This helps the mechanic to ensure the proper treatment of the vehicle keeping in view the previous histories. On the departure of Vehicle from the Workshop the Bill along with the Gate Pass is also prepared.
SWAAPP provides the facility for the Customer Purchase Order, Challan Voucher & Counter Sale. SWAAPP also closely monitors the sale of spares from the store so that the parts may not fall short in Workshop consumption.
In Store, the Purchase Order for the Vendor can also be prepared. The Order can be prepared in two ways, Manually by analyzing the inventory or the SWAAPP will itself indent the parts, depending on the consumption pattern followed in the past. The Material on received from the vendor will be credited in to the System.
SWAAPP also help in generating warranty parts claim as per the principal company/factory format directly from the billed Job Cards. The nature of issue of parts is captured at the time of requisition of parts on the Job Cards and PDI. As such the user does not have to enter the warranty parts detail again. He simply has to enter the job card number and all the parts issued under warranty in that job card will be listed out. Based on this he has to feed certain additional information in the warranty claim format on the computer. Thereafter the warranty will be prepared and it can be downloaded.
SWAAPP can also generate Free Service Coupon Claim as per the principal company/factory format directly from the Billed Job Cards. The nature of job is captured at the time of Job Card opening. As such based on this information the free service coupon claims are generated. User has to just check all the coupon number and attach them to the claim printout and send to the factory. A model wise / service wise summary will be printed as annexure.
